8 China-Europe Freight Trains
China-Europe Freight Trains refer to container international trains that run between China and Europe and the countries along the Belt and Road. As of April 2019, China-Europe Feight Trains have launched more than 11,000 trains, operating 65 lines, reaching 44 cities in 15 European countries, and accumulating 920,000 TEUs of cargo. Due to space limitations, the following will introduce 8 China-Europe Freight Trains:
1. China-Europe Freight Train from Chongqing to Duisburg
The train departs from Chongqing Tuanjiecun Station, passes through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland and Duisburg Station, Germany. The total length of the line is about 11,000 kilometers and the running time is about 15 days. The first train was launched on March 19, 2011. The main source of supply is the IT products of Chongqing. On June 28, 2018, a train full of electronic products departed from Tuanjie Village Central Station in Shapingba District, Chongqing, marking that the cumulative number of China-Europe Freight Trains (Chongqing) reached 2,000.
2. China-Europe Freight Train from Chengdu to Lodz
The train departs from Chengdu Chengxiang Station, passes through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and ends in Lodz, Poland. The line has a total distance of 9,965 kilometers and a running time of about 14 days. The first train was launched on April 26, 2013. The main sources of supply are IT products and other export goods produced in Chengdu. As of December 31, 2018, a total of 3,088 trains were launched, of which 1,591 were launched in 2018.
3. China-Europe Freight Train from Wuhan to the Czech Republic and Poland
The train departs from Wuhan Wujiashan Station, passes through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and reaches relevant cities in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and other countries. The total length of the line is about 10,700 kilometers, and the running time is about 15 days. The first train was launched on October 24, 2012. And the sources of supply are mainly consumer electronics products such as laptops produced in Wuhan, and other goods in the surrounding area. In January 2018, the China Europe Railway (Wuhan), a cold-chain container loaded with Three Gorges citrus, slowly drove out of Yichang East Station cargo yard. This is the first China-Europe train citrus train to be launched in 2018.
4. China-Europe Freight Train from Yiwu to Madrid
The train started from the Yiwu Railway West Station and runs through the New Silk Road Economic Belt, passing through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, France, and Spain. The total length of the line is 13052 kilometers and the running time is about 21 days. It is the train with the longest journey in China’s history and the most frequent changeover of overseas railways.
5. China-Europe Freight Train from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to Iran
On September 4, 2018, an international freight railway line was launched from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to Iran. The first train was loaded with 41 containers and a total value of about 10 million yuan. It left the Shaliang Logistics Park in the southeast of Hohhot and reached the city of Bam in southeast Iran 15 days later.
6. China-Europe Freight Train from Lianyungang to Istanbul
On November 28, 2018, the Lianyungang China-Europe Freight Train, which contained 21 container machinery, electronic products, and daily necessities, was officially launched. For the first time in three years since the Lianyungang China-Europe train service was in operation, the entire railway transportation from the station to station along the line of “Lianyungang-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey” has been realized. The “Lianyungang-Istanbul” train will be scheduled from the Sino-Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) logistics cooperation base on a regular basis on the 8th, 18th, and 28th of each month to gradually realize the normal operation mode.
7. China-Europe Freight Train from Xining to Belgium
On the morning of September 8, 2016, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau’s first Sino-Europe train left the Shuangzhai Railway Logistics Center in Xining, Qinghai Province, to Antwerp, the second-largest container port in Europe in Belgium. This train takes about 12 days and mainly transports Qinghai local specialty products such as Tibetan blankets and wolfberry. As of October 2018, the China-Europe Railway (Xi’an) has opened more than 1,000 trains.
8. China-Europe Freight Train from Changchun to Hamburg
On October 13, 2017, the China-Europe international freight trains loaded with auto parts and textiles departed from Changchun International Port. And the 42-cargo cargo will depart from Manzhouli to Hamburg, Germany. The first trains passed through many countries in European countries such as Russia, Belarus, Poland, Belgium, and Germany. The maximum speed is 120 kilometers per hour and the whole journey takes about 12-15 days. The route mainly transports goods such as automobile parts, electronic machinery, valves and clothing for some enterprises.
