In order to improve the level of production safety in China and to protect the fundamental interests of workers, in 2001 the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine transformed the standard of OHSAS 18001:1999 and issued the national standard of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, standard GB/T28001-2001.
In 2011, it was revised according to the OHSAS 18001:2007 edition standard and published as the national standard “Occupational Health and Safety Management System Requirements” GBB/T28001-2011, which covers all the technical content of OHSAS 18001. It is applicable to any organization that has established an OHS management system and seeks certification of its OHS management system from an external organization.
